My mom's recipe for chocolate chip cookies is the all time best. I keep pinning recipes from pinterest and have tried a few, only to regret my lack of judgement. Why mess with the best?
These cookies are fluffy and soft and also freeze really well. They are also one of the few recipes of my moms that actually turn out for me. All of her recipes have some secret magical mom ingredient/technique that I can't seem to replicate.
Here is the recipe:
Ruth's Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/2 c Flour
1/2 t. Baking Soda
1/2 t. Salt
1/2 c. Butter or Margerine
1/2 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Brown Sugar - lightly packed
1 Egg
1 t. Vanilla
1/2 c. Chocolate chips
